Sleep Apnea: Headaches And Fatigue

This is perhaps one of the most overlooked symptoms of sleep apnea. When one has sleep apnea, one experiences sudden shortness of breath while sleeping because of which the brain suddenly wakes up to kick start the respiratory system into functioning properly, because of which the person is in a sub-conscious state. So, although the person is sleeping, the brain has to wake up to do the job and although the person does not exactly know about it or feel it, his sleep cycle is disrupted and he does not receive enough sleep because of which he feels fatigued and tired the next day despite resting for an entire night. In most of the cases, this symptom is easily overlooked as fatigued can be caused by a wide array of other reasons.

Frequent Headaches upon waking up-

Another aspect of it is that one wakes up with frequent and un-reasonable headaches in the morning. So the morning feels anything but fresh and active when one suffers from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is results in the lowering of oxygen level in the blood, which means that low amount of oxygen is supplied to the brain, because of which the blood vessels in the brain are swollen, this results in the extreme pain the morning.
